The second instalment in the Irish Software Association's Public Procurement Workshop Series takes place at 11am on Tuesday 28th February in IBEC, Confederation House, 84-86 Lower Baggot st, D.2.

If you are hearing sound bites about Open Data but you are unsure what it means, or what the opportunity might be, then this is the event for you!

This workshop will explore the economic development opportunities for Open Data such as its potential to be used as the basis for the development of apps, products and services - not just for the Irish market, but designed for the European and global markets. It will also examine its usage to improve efficiencies and cost-savings for central and local Government.

The major highlights of this seminar will include:

· Public Sector Success Stories - Hear how DUBlinked's Innovation Network is developing solutions to the problems that face the Dublin City Region.

· Unique Networking Opportunity - All ISA member organisations specialising in open data will be on hand on-the-day to meet with you to discuss your future requirements and exchange views in relation to your planned system implementations and their product plans.

Open Data Experts in Conversation - Some of the country's leading Open Data solutions specialists and academics will participate in an interactive panel discussion fielding any questions that you may have on the day.
