The first PwC Technology Forum briefing of 2012. The theme of the event will be Cloud Computing, a topic which most organisations see as an important priority for 2012. Our speakers will provide their insights and perspectives on Cloud Computing and the related challenges and opportunities. The event, which is aimed at CIOs and IT Leaders, will take place in our offices at One Spencer Dock, North Wall Quay, Dublin 1.

Registration opens at 4.00pm and the presentations will commence at 4.30pm followed by a Round Table Discussion. The evening will conclude with drinks and canapés from 6.00pm, when attendees will have the opportunity to discuss the topics with the speakers and to network with their peers.

Speakers:

Paul Rellis, Managing Director, Microsoft Ireland

As well as being responsible for Microsoft Corporation's business, Paul represents Microsoft on all strategic policy and communications issues in Ireland. Prior to being appointed MD, Paul was the Managing Director for Microsoft's European, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Operations Centre, overseeing Microsoft's channel partners, supply chain, finance and order management across the region. He joined Microsoft in January 2000 from The Coca-Cola Company, where he held a variety of senior positions in Finance, Marketing and Operations in both the Coca-Cola HQ in Atlanta and in Germany.

Joe Baguley, Chief Cloud Technologist, VMware Ireland

Joe Baguley joined VMware following a ten year tenure at Quest Software where he was CTO of EMEA, shaping the direction and strategy of Quest Software. A recognised leader within the European cloud community, Joe is also a renowned conference speaker having played a key role in Cloud Camp and other events. In addition, he is also on the Industry Expert Group at SIENA and is a founding committee member of the Data Centre Specialist Group at the British Computer Society who helped shape the European Code Of Conduct for Data Centres. Based in the UK, Joe helps to develop and communicate VMware's strategy with customers and partners, while using his wealth of expertise and experience to help organisations reduce costs and better support users and business needs.

Kieran Mongan, Senior Technology Advisor, PwC Consulting

Kieran Mongan is a Senior Technology Advisor with PwC Consulting and has 19 years professional experience in advising clients on managing their IT infrastructure and systems. Kieran has published a number of articles on Cloud Computing and is currently assisting a number of clients in exploring opportunities in relation to Cloud Computing. Prior to joining PwC Kieran held a variety of senior IT roles in Operations, Infrastructure and IT Security within Central Government and the technology industry.
