Windows 8 apps for digital & design agencies

Windows 8 will be available in store in October and to enterprises and developers from August. In August the Windows Store will open where the apps you build can be bought and downloaded. Windows 7 has is the most widely used operating system with 630 million copies sold, Windows 8 is first version to be designed for touch first and to be powered by an app marketplace. 

Agencies are already getting tender requests for Windows 8 apps.

This two day session is designed solely for developer and design staff at design and development agencies.

Day 1 will teach you everything you need to start building Windows 8 apps from design principles, coding languages, portability of apps from other platforms, how to increase usage of your apps with Live Tiles and most importantly how you can implement your business model whether it be freeium, ad based model, in-app purchases or regular app purchase.

Day 2 is where you will spend time building apps, these labs will be implement the most important elements and controls including sharing data between apps, live tiles and toast notifications.

We appreciate that two days may be a large amount of time to spend in training but be assured at the end of the two days you will be ready to start building Windows 8 apps straight away and that they will be like nothing you have built before.
