Innovation Activities Relevant to Financial Services Industry

Our expertise is in the domain of spreadsheet applications and their use in the financial sector.

The basic research of lecturers and postgraduate students looks at spreadsheet user behaviour, spreadsheets development best-practices, spreadsheet risk prediction and natural language interfaces for spreadsheets.

Applied research focuses on the development of tools to improve spreadsheet management, spreadsheet remodelling and spreadsheet productivity and process mapping. Funding from EI through the proof of concept and technology development elements of the commercialisation fund has been obtained recently to further this work.
