Since 2003, the Trust has run an annual competition for start-ups seeking investment to support the growth of their venture. This year, four founders who have recently graduated from the DIT/IADT New Frontiers Programme, will compete for a cash prize of €10,000 at our awards evening on 18 April, kindly supported by PWC.

Our four contenders are:

Aimée Madden of Clinishift – Connecting clinical staff and hospital in real-time

Brendan Looney of Horus – Sensor technology for the early detection of machine faults

Paul Hennessy of Outbound – Advanced Business Intelligence, custom-built for all industries

Pierce Dargan of Equine MediRecord – Medical record software for the racehorse industry

Our four judges, tasked with selecting the winning company, will be:

Orla Rimmington, Partner, Kernel Capital

Dermot Berkery, General Partner, Delta Partner

Sarah-Jane Larkin, Director-General, Irish Venture Capital Association

Graham Byrne, CEO & Founder, YourSmileDirect
