In partnership with Digital Catapult, Trinity College Dublin, and the Adapt Research Centre you are invited to join a half-day workshop "Future Social Media: Enhancing Cohesion Through Advanced Digital Technology" on Tuesday 17 April. What is and how will the future social media look, how we are going to get there, and what must be done to enable it? It's well known that during the last one-two decades, social media applications have introduced significant changes to the way people and businesses communicate, and moreover, to the way entire online communities are established and organised through common interests.

The workshop will be interactive and will be a learning and networking opportunity for participants. You'll have the opportunity to meet with potential collaborators, including via 1:1 brokering sessions, and gain insights and advice from investors, accelerator/incubator representatives, advanced digital technology specialists and other influencers about opportunities and considerations in developing digital technology-driven social media solutions.

Also Digital Catapult has launched the Future Social Media Open has launched the Future Social Media Call: whereby start-ups and SMEs across Europe can apply, for the chance to be in the running to be one of three finalists in the Open Call; showcase and pitch their innovation in front of peers, investors, accelerators, incubators and showcase their innovation via a case study that will be published online.
